The science of leadership and change: creating tomorrow’s workplaces

Announcing the THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER Podcast!

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER podcast! It’s been a long time in the making and I’m really excited to finally share it with all of you.

The THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER podcast asks the question, “How can contemporary philosophy and science help us make better choices, lead better lives, and create a sustainable, prosperous world?”

Humans, since the time of the Pyramids, have done amazing things when they lift their gaze from the egocentric, the petty, and the mundane. We struggle to make good decisions, particularly today when we are swamped with information of highly variable, sometimes dodgy quality. We need to understand our biases, to think critically, to use reason, to see through subterfuge and deception.

THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER strives to help you develop those skills so that you can make the best decisions for yourself, your family, and society.

To celebrate the launch of the podcast, I’ll be giving away books, lots and lots of books, to some of my lucky listeners. Keep on reading to find out how you can enter!

In each episode of THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER, we talk to world leaders in their fields, who have great ideas on how we can be more reasoned and rational, and how we can inspire each other to greatness. Guests will be famous academics, politicians, NYT bestselling authors, business CEOs, and activists.

Get to know me and how this show can help you to process the multitudes of information we’re bombarded with on a daily basis in a more critical, fact-based, and empowering way by listening to my first three episodes. I will be releasing a new episode twice a month.

You can check out the first episodes and the welcome message here:

  • Ep #0: Welcome to THINK BIGGER, THINK BETTER.
  • Ep #1: The Impossible Presidency with Jeremi Suri. In his latest book, The Impossible Presidency: The Rise and Fall of America’s Highest Office, Jeremi examines the evolution of the office of the President of the United States and the men who have held that position. We discuss how the role has changed and why many of our most recent presidents seem to have failed so miserably. Join us for this exploration of the American presidency and how today’s situation fits in the arc of history.
  • Ep #2: Is It Time to Rethink Democracy in America? – With Parag Khanna. Here, we discuss how the U.S. is showing up in the world today as an example of democracy, how other countries govern, and how we can redesign our democratic institution. Don’t miss this provocative glimpse into what Parag suggests is possible for America’s future.
  • Ep #3: Critical Thinking – A Threat to Society or the Path to Better Living? With Linda Elder. In this episode, we explore what critical thinking is, how can we apply it to any issue, how it helps those with opposing views to communicate with one another, and why Texas tried to ban critical thinking in schools.
